PVC foam boards are lightweight, rigid, and versatile sheets made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC) through a specialized extrusion process that creates a foam core with a solid outer skin. This unique structure gives them a desirable combination of properties, making them a popular alternative to materials like wood, plywood, and aluminum in various industries.

HOW WE MAKE IT
The manufacturing process involves melting PVC resin along with additives and a blowing agent. This mixture is then extruded through a die, and the blowing agent causes it to expand and form a cellular core, while the surfaces cool to create a smooth, dense skin.
Exceptionally Lightweight: The closed-cell foam structure makes these boards significantly lighter than wood and many other traditional building materials.
Waterproof & Moisture Resistant: PVC foam boards have a closed-cell structure with very low water absorption, making them completely impervious to moisture, making them ideal for humid environments like kitchens and bathroom.
Superior Workability & Fabrication: PVC foam boards can be easily cut, drilled, routed, screwed, nailed, and glued using standard tools. They can also be heat-bent or thermoformed into various shapes
Smooth Surface for High-Quality Printing: Smooth Surface are perfect for screen printing and digital printing, making it a top choice for signage and displays.
Excellent Weather and Chemical Resistance: It is highly resistant to weather, UV radiation (color fading is minimal), and a wide range of chemicals, acids, and salts, making it suitable for both outdoor and industrial applications.
Dimensional Stability: Unlike wood, PVC foam boards do not warp, crack, or change shape with fluctuations in humidity and temperature. This stability ensures that signs, furniture, and installations maintain their form over time.
Here is a brief guide to sourcing the right PVC foam board and a reliable manufacturer. Define Your Requirements (The Product)
Density: Standard density (0.4–0.6 g/cm³) for signage and displays; high density (0.7–0.9 g/cm³) for furniture and printing, as it offers better screw-holding and smoother surface.
Thickness: Common range is 1mm to 30mm. Thicker boards (10mm+) are used for construction and furniture; thinner boards (1–5mm) for POS displays and model making.
Surface & Color: Decide between matte, gloss, or wood-grain finishes. Confirm if you need UV-resistant coating for outdoor use to prevent yellowing.
Special Features: For construction or transport, ensure the board is flame-retardant (self-extinguishing) and waterproof.
