Customer background:

A furniture processing factory in Saudi Arabia purchased 20mm thick PVC foam board for custom-made whole-house partition panels and wardrobe panels.

PVC Foam Board

Key customer difficulties & complaints:

1. During on-site cutting and slotting with CNC machines, the board edge was very rough, with serious chipping, burrs and powder falling, which greatly reduced processing efficiency.

2. When punching and grooving, the board cracked easily, resulting in a large number of scrapped semi-finished products, and the processing loss rate exceeded 20%.

3. Workers refused to continue using the goods, the production line was forced to stop, and the customer asked for immediate return and replacement of all goods.

Root cause of the problem:

The board had uneven internal foaming, unstable molecular structure, insufficient internal density, and too many hollow particles inside. The overall toughness was poor, so it could not withstand mechanical high-speed cutting and punching.

Final solution & result:

Supplied upgraded high-toughness, high-density uniform foamed PVC board. The cutting edge was smooth without burrs or chipping. The processing scrap rate dropped below 2%. The customer withdrew the return application and continued bulk ordering.
